It is a collection of video works that includes the masterpieces of Kengo Kuma, produced with the latest 3D VR camera. It is an advanced and unprecedented project, which allows three-dimensional experiences as if one was in the spot of Kuma’s works. Aiming to be widely used as academic educational material, it would be able to be accessed worldwide for free. With voice commentary by Kengo Kuma himself, a 10-minute VR movie would be produced for each project.
・I'm Kengo Kuma.
・A new station was born for the first time in 50 years on the JR Yamanote Line running in central Tokyo.
・It is "Takanawa gateway station".

・今回は、駅のデザインを担当した私がご案内します。
・Being in charge of the station design, I will show you around this station today.
・First, let’s start from the position where you can see the whole view.
・In this area, development is planned in which the station and the city are integrated.
・We are aiming for a base for international exchange.
・Then, I thought of creating a unique station that would lead the creation of a new city.
・Please look around.
・The place where the station is built is a horizontally long site where the track extends to the left and right.
・In order to harmonize with this site, we made a roof that overlaps with the horizontally long strips, and visualized the way it connects the railway to the station and to the city.
・The concept of the building is “new Japanese style”.
・As a gateway to the city that promotes international exchange, we want to welcome visitors in a “Japanese space”.
・Membrane roof coated with glass fiber with fluorine.
・The image of the roof is “origami”.
・Adding different “folds” to the four roof strips creates gaps.
・This design creates a space where the sky can be seen and light can enter.
・The interior of the station has a stairwell structure, where the platform and concourse are integrated.
・Please look around.
・I was strongly conscious of giving a bright impression to visitors.
・Being able to capture a lot of light, it is resulted not only by the membrane roof, but also a large transparent glass that does not block the sight.
・As a result, the station is visually connected to the city.
・Since the station is positioned as a symbol of the city, this is an important point.
・We use wood everywhere to let visitors feel the Japanese space.
・Cedar from the Tohoku region was chosen, with blessings and wishes for the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
・In the case of railway stations, special measures must be taken to prevent things from falling.
・Therefore, we tied the wood with H steel there.dd・ We made use of the idea of the "steel-wood hybrid".
・It is also a special feature that the pillars are radially assembled. The number of thick pillars has been reduced to create an open space.
