Erieta Attali, who first encountered my Water/Glass and shifted from photographing landscapes and gardens to architectural photography, has now photographed the Gulbenkian Museum that we designed in Lisbon. The garden is the essence of this museum. We designed the space with the garden as its protagonist, and the architecture as an engawa, or bridge, extending across it. Erieta has beautifully translated this intention onto photographic paper.
