Hayama no Mori
On a hill in Hayama overlooking the Shonan sea, we designed a senior living facility like a seaside villa, making extensive use of wood. Larch and cedar are used throughout both the interior and the façade, and in the central stair hall we designed a symbolic wooden bookshelf. Through these elements, we sought to bring into the nursing home the warm, calm atmosphere of living in a library.
