Japan 2021RSK Sanyo Broadcasting News Studio
We designed a “forest” within the news studio of RSK Sanyo Broadcasting’s new building, a TV station that covers Okayama and Kagawa.
Okayama is renowned for its forests and is the leading producer of cypress timber in Japan. Instead of using processed wood, we used raw cypress logs to create a “studio in the woods” that emanates the scent of wood. To enhance the forest feel, the floor is covered with a carpet that replicates the natural texture of moss.
