Japan 2022FC Machida Zelvia Clubhouse
This project is the design of a clubhouse for the J2 League soccer team representing Machida City. We envisioned that wood would enable the building to blend into the rich surrounding nature with expanses of natural grass fields and cherry blossom trees. Using wooden joists and CLT roof boards, the building’s mainly steel-framed structure is infused with the softness and warmth of wood, creating a relaxing space for the players. We arranged windows of varying shapes and sizes that capture the surrounding environment, the façade also bringing a sense of uplifting rhythm to the field.
