Warehouse TERRADA
We renovated a group of warehouses along a canal in Tennozu into a museum and event space, connected by a large wooden eave. We attempted to bring Tokyo’s waterfront back to life as a human and walkable space, and revitalize Edo, once a city of canals and water transportation.
Part of the WHAT MUSEUM is open to the public as an “architectural warehouse,” a new type of museum that preserves and exhibits architectural models, and a group of models of KKAA’s works are also on display. A wooden box-like barge with sails was floated on the adjacent canal, connecting land and water as one.
