When I visited Jeju Island, I encountered the dark porous rock there, and it inspired me so much that I wanted to translate its soft, round, porous features into architecture.

I designed each house as a dark round stone. When viewed from a distance, each house looks like a stone, and you can see that various portions of the house were made with black stone when you approach it. We created the feature of light filtering into the house through the gaps between black pebbles. The black porous texture of the stones are the determining factor for the scenery in Jeju Island. I sublimed this texture as is into architecture.
