Boat Race Ticket Shop Awa Kamojima
Overturning the conventional image of a ticket shop, a warm and inviting community exchange space was created through the generous use of locally sourced cedar from Tokushima Prefecture. Rich in warmth and tactile comfort, the space fosters a sense of regional connection.
The façade and interior are composed using a radial geometry inspired by the swirling tides of the nearby Naruto Strait, creating an environment in which the region’s natural landscape and cultural identity can be deeply felt.
