This is an example that something in 2D can be suddenly transformed into 3D by being given a slit – here, 2mm-thick steel plate became an organic, 3-dimensional thing. Owan is the Japanese word for a bowl in which miso soup is served. Anyone in this owan can warp into a different world. The owan is easily exportable and can emerge as a 3-dimensional universe.
