A disaster prevention center integrated with the bank of the Kogai River, a tributary of the Tone River.
The aim was to create a functional disaster prevention center that can respond quickly to frequent flooding, while at the same time providing a base for open exchange activities for NGOs that work around the river on a daily basis. We believed that an open design that would be recognized by the community on a daily basis would enable movement during emergencies and lead to people’s safety and security.
