Japan 2018Kochu
Kochu is a pavilion designed to produce the maximum effect with the least substances.
We made a thin and transparent structure like a cloud by connecting thin bamboo sticks of 4 mm with thermoplastic resin tubes.
The scent of tatami gently rises among the thin bamboos, rotating in a spiral, and the whole space fills with the tatami fragrance.
It was recently exhibited at the Kuma-no-mono Exhibition in the Tokyo Station Gallery.
