“NAMAKO” is the pavilion built for Design Canberra Festival.
The tubular structure of the pavilion is covered by mesh made with acrylic rods and eucalyptus dowels woven with zip-ties. The construction was carried out by the students of The University of Canberra. Translucency of the whole structure and the hairy texture of the inside made by numerous zip-ties achieve sea creature-like impression.
