PC Garden
This villa sits atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and features a windmill shaped plan. Precast concrete components measuring 85 and 135 millimeters in width and 180 and 220 millimeters in thickness are arranged in succession and joined using post tensioned steel rods to form structural walls. By composing the building from these thin structural units, the project achieves softness and lightness that is uncommon in conventional concrete architecture.
