TSUCHIYA Technical Innovation Center (TIC)
We designed a state-of-the-art research facility for TSUCHIYA, a global general contractor committed to addressing environmental challenges, as a double-skin building combining locally sourced Japanese cedar logs, CLT, and glulam timber.
The double-skin façade of cedar logs creates a warm and richly textured space, reminiscent of sunlight filtering through trees, while simultaneously reducing the building’s air-conditioning load and enabling a sustainable research environment.
Through this efficiency, the building has also achieved 100% ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) performance.
