Endo Sushi Restaurant Reform
We wanted this new lounge space to be a bridge between the two worlds that define the rich experience of dining at Endo: the rooftop edible garden and his spectacular hinoki cedar counter. We imagined the lounge as an artificial ground where people can playfully seat. It is formed by simply stacking wooden layers that echo the presence of the sushi counter. The warm materiality of the wood and its gracious organic geometries invite us to enjoy this lounge as being in a landscape. We like to call it a woodscape.
