South area of Kiyose station children center and library with central park Proposal
Located within Kiyose Park, we proposed a library that blends into its surroundings, and serves as a living room for the community.
Kiyose’s well-known beautiful forests were once the host to Japan’s best sanatoriums. The proposal for the library integrates both form and function seamlessly with the park, which inherited the rich nature of Kiyose.
Deep eaves extending from the roof allows the architecture to blend into the park. Underneath the roof a warm and intimate space serves the community.
