Folon Pavilion The Fog & The Wave
As part of the exhibition Kengo Kuma: Architecture in Dialogue, and in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture La Cambre–Horta (ULB) and the Folon Foundation, a workshop-format micro-architecture project was created, drawing inspiration from both Kengo Kuma’s architectural approach and the world of Jean-Michel Folon.
The project consists of two temporary pavilions: “The Fog”, a vertically rising spiral structure, and “The Wave”, a horizontally unfolding structure.
Set within the forested grounds of the Folon Foundation, the pavilions were built by students using bark-covered logs. Inside the completed structures, visitors can sit quietly and immerse themselves in the scent of the Belgian forest.
